Taryn Knight is an illustrator working and living amidst the windswept fields of Colorado. Inspired by nature and life’s simple joys, she aims to create a sense of wildness and childish freedom in her work. Her sketchbooks hint at a magical realm where girls fly away on wild birds, field mice cook tasty soups, and bears eat blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
Loves to draw: Classic children's literature and fairy tales, visually reimagined; hidden worlds; nature melded with hints of magic; holiday celebrations; forest-dwelling creatures feasting and foraging; beautiful, detailed outfits; flora and fauna of every sort; fairies and elves and other folklore types; cozy houses and homes (for humans & critters alike); tea cups and harvest bounties and baked goods galore; achingly beautiful fields and meadows and forests; so many places that you'd like to visit in your dreams—or feel like you maybe already have!
