Submission Guidelines
At Root Literary, we kindly ask that you submit your query to one agent at a time; please do not query multiple agents simultaneously.

We are not accepting submissions for picture book texts from authors who do not illustrate, screenplays, or poetry. No paper, phone, or in-person pitches, please.
After Submitting
The agent’s current turnaround time will be displayed upon receipt. If you haven’t received a response within the quoted timeframe, you’re welcome to follow up or submit your query to another agent at Root Literary.
Important: If you receive an offer of representation from another agent, please notify us as soon as possible.
