Sam Wedelich
Sam Wedelich is an author, illustrator, speaker, cartoonist, and hand-letterer, whose style is quirky, fun and whimsical. She loves stories and humor and cartoons and how each can help us imagine in-between spaces and other ways of being in the world and in ourselves. In addition to bookmaking, she enjoys carpentry, gardening, knitting, sewing and embroidery, baking, cooking, making music and making art instillations. She lives with her family in Nyack, NY.
Loves to draw: Human characters with really big emotions, especially frazzled moms and/or kids having meltdowns! Botanical specimens: all kinds of plants, trees, creeping vines, anything in a garden; dynamic odd couples of any match-up: human/fantasy creature/animal/ anthropomorphized objects; Elves: it's the pointy ears! Swoon.
