Ruth Whiting
Ruth Whiting is an artist and maker with a diverse body of work, including illustration, large-scale sculptural installations, and classic oil paintings. Ruth's fine art has exhibited in Europe, Australia and America. The first title in her debut trilogy of picture books, Lonely Bird, was a Junior Library Guild selection and won the 2024 ILA Children’s and Young Adult Book Award for primary fiction. Lonely Bird’s Dream was released by Candlewick in October 2024. Born in England to Australian parents, Ruth now lives in Florida with her husband, the artist and kite designer Tim Elverston, and their son.
