Robb Mommaerts
Robb Mommaerts is a cartoonist and illustrator who always hoped that his hobby of doodling bizarre creatures in school notebooks would eventually turn into a career. From his basement dungeon, he’s been hopping between the realms of children’s book illustration, comic books, game art, and character design. In addition to illustrating the middle grade series Mummy Man and Waffles (written by Steve Behling) and Klawde: Evil Alien Warlord Cat (written by Johnny Marciano and Emily Chenoweth), he's also illustrated eight picture book titles and provided artwork for several top-selling table-top game projects. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife, two kids and a dog.
Loves to draw: Monsters, mythical creatures, and dinosaurs. Expressive and fantastical creatures tied into nature, that can either be cute or gross. Unique looking characters (human or animal) with a lot of humor, creativity and emotion. Exotic plants and exaggerated vegetation that can be both beautiful or scary. Environments that can serve as a “character" in themselves, enhanced with interesting and hidden elements for the viewer to find and boost the story they are reading or listening to.
