Kurestin Armada
Kurestin Armada spent time as an assistant at The Lotts Agency before becoming a literary agent at P.S. Literary in 2015. She then joined Root Literary in 2020, where she partners with storytellers who combine artistry with the drive to build a lasting body of work. Kurestin is based in New York City and spends most of her time in the city’s thriving indie bookstores. She specializes in science fiction and fantasy, as well as graphic novels for all ages and author-illustrated picture books.
Kurestin wants to work with creators who are creatively ambitious, who have a wide range of ideas and are always pushing themselves to write what's most interesting and challenging to them; these are the people that are always growing and writing stories that only they can tell. She's particularly drawn to illustrators with a strong sense of dynamic use of panels and movement on the page, and always loves a creature.
